The moment when Edmund Pevensie first encounters the White Witch and is offered Turkish Delight is unforgettable. Inspired by this classic film, we decided to recreate this mystical confection that’s perfect for the holiday season.

DIY Turkish Delight Recipe

Making Turkish Delight at home is a fun and rewarding experience. This traditional confection, known for its sweet and chewy texture, is surprisingly simple to prepare. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you create your very own batch of this beloved treat:

Ingredients:

• 4 cups granulated sugar
• 1 1/4 cups cornstarch
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 4 1/4 cups water
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1 tablespoon rose water or orange blossom water (optional)
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• Food coloring (optional)
• Chopped nuts or dried fruits (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Pan: Line a 9×9 inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
