It’s fun to spend a weekend exploring somewhere new. We found lots to do on our short family camping trip in Wallace, Idaho. Just 45 minutes from home, we enjoyed exploring the historic town, hiking, sightseeing and adventuring.
Back to school shopping makes the start of the school year more exciting! This year my girls needed new school supplies, a few new outfits and some hygiene essentials. A great hygiene routine is a super smart way to get ready for back to school!
I love inspiring my kids with messy art projects and crafty activities. My kids regularly ask to do craft projects and I’ve learned some tricks to minimize the mess. I’ve also found some great kid-friendly art supplies that are easy to set up and put away. I keep play dough on hand, create sensory bins that can be quickly stowed away and collect an assortment of kids’ art supplies. These eco-friendly art supplies are fun and they’re made with ingredients derived from the earth!

This summer my husband took our family adventures to a whole new level! Our recent road trip took us to the mountain trails in Ouray, Colorado. Before our family vacation, my husband carefully outfit our RZR off-road vehicle with harasses and seat belts for the whole family. Once in the mountains, we explored several of the easiest trail routes and saw some gorgeous views! Some parts were a bit bumpier than my kids preferred but they were troopers and they will hopefully remember some of these amazing adventures!

When we travel to a new city, we enjoy finding a handful of family-friendly activities to do with our kids. Our young children most enjoy half-day activities that include things to see, interactive activities and a spot to eat lunch. Our visit to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science provided a great selection of exhibits for our kids to explore. Highlights of our visit included the Prehistoric Journey dinosaur and fossil exhibit, the life-like wildlife panoramas and the Gems & Minerals exhibit. We also saw an IMAX show about flight and a Planetarium presentation.
The Incredibles super-family is coming back to the big screen in the new animated movie the INCREDIBLES 2! Print off these coloring pages as a creative afternoon kids project.
What do you like to do when the weather gets warmer? Our family loves to travel and explore new places. Our recent family adventures took us down the coast of California, over to Colorado and back up to Coeur d’Alene Idaho. We visited some of our extended family in California and stayed in our toy hauler RV trailer, which makes traveling with kids so much easier. Our RV provides our kids comfortable spaces to nap after a shopping trip and a place to rinse off after a swim at the pool. We can also wake up in the morning and make a full breakfast, saving money and reducing the hassle of eating out with little kids. Here are some of the highlights from our California glamping road trip!
