It’s fun to spend a weekend exploring somewhere new. We found lots to do on our short family camping trip in Wallace, Idaho. Just 45 minutes from home, we enjoyed exploring the historic town, hiking, sightseeing and adventuring.

Are you looking for an ultimate family destination this summer? You can find many hidden gems on the West Coast; the perfect place to create unforgettable family memories!
This summer my husband took our family adventures to a whole new level! Our recent road trip took us to the mountain trails in Ouray, Colorado. Before our family vacation, my husband carefully outfit our RZR off-road vehicle with harasses and seat belts for the whole family. Once in the mountains, we explored several of the easiest trail routes and saw some gorgeous views! Some parts were a bit bumpier than my kids preferred but they were troopers and they will hopefully remember some of these amazing adventures!
Our family road trip took us to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, where we saw exhibits about dinosaurs, gems & minerals, an IMAX presentation on flight and visited the Planetarium. We also had fun at the museum’s interactive kid-focused Discovery Zone, a highlight of our visit!
What do you like to do when the weather gets warmer? Our family loves to travel and explore new places. Our recent family adventures took us down the coast of California, over to Colorado and back up to Coeur d’Alene Idaho. We visited some of our extended family in California and stayed in our toy hauler RV trailer, which makes traveling with kids so much easier. Our RV provides our kids comfortable spaces to nap after a shopping trip and a place to rinse off after a swim at the pool. We can also wake up in the morning and make a full breakfast, saving money and reducing the hassle of eating out with little kids. Here are some of the highlights from our California glamping road trip!
The best travel destinations are places for families to make memories, get some exercise and enjoy some good old family fun. Zion National Park is a great place to visit and go on a family hike. We enjoyed exploring the canyon paths, walking in the river and taking in the gorgeous views on all sides.
Few things make many little girls (or moms) more delighted than a tea party. It’s also fun for moms to take their daughters out for tea to enjoy some delicious treats and practice their etiquette. Next time you are in London, don’t miss the opportunity to experience The Arch London’s sumptuous afternoon tea.
Our cold weather travels took us to the Seattle area for a few days. We stayed at the Comfort Suites hotel in Tukwila, WA which ended up being a great choice for our family because of the pool, hot breakfast and more!
Rainy days are perfect for going to a museum and learning about history. Our recent trip to Washington took us to the Seattle Museum of Flight where we learned about the history of aviation and saw lots of airplanes. My kids enjoyed sitting in fighter jet cockpits and wandering through the spacious airplane exhibits. I enjoyed learning about some of the details of World War I and World War II and looking at historical photographs. A family could easily spend an entire day at the Seattle Museum of Flight, get lunch at the cafe and watch one of the IMAX presentations. The Museum of Flight is a great Pacific Northwest family trip destination.

Summer can be filled with lots of fun and adventures. My kids love water, which means we regularly go swimming, use our hot tub, play in the sprinkler, and enjoy afternoons in the boat on the lake. Water activities can be lots of fun as well as create some possible hazards. These water safety tips shared by a father and police officer can help parents keep kids safe during family water activities.
