How would you like to see yourself and your kids grow this year? Personally, I’d like to practice more patience with my kids and contentment within mommy life. I’d like to see my kids grow in cheerful obedience, respect and kindness. Each day in our home offers opportunities for me and my kids to grow. I’ve found it’s easier for my kids to stay on task and be respectful if they know what their job is throughout the day. I start our day by explaining everyone’s jobs. My job is to take care of the kids and my kids’ job is to listen and obey. Defining jobs goes a long way towards enjoying a productive day with young children.
What does your morning routine look like? For me, mornings are usually rushed as I’m trying to help kids and get myself ready for the day. I’m not one of those moms who wakes up far before my kids, mostly because I work at night when I can be most productive. I still want to take care of my skin, hair and immunity so I need to find simple solutions that allow me to maximize my time and healthy routines. In mommy life, I often have to ask my kids for forgiveness for my attitude. It’s important to teach kids how to deal with emotions and identify their wrongs. But what are our motives for forgiveness? Might we have forgiveness backwards?
