In spite of having plenty of purses, I had to look for a diaper bag that could contain all the chaos and baby necessities that I need to carry with me when going out with my babies. Although there are many options out there, some are just either way out of my price range or not the right shape, color, size, or style. In just over two years of being a mama, I've acquired two diaper bags to alternate with different types of outings (casual or dressy), all while my other bags collected dust. But not for long! I discovered ToteSavvy, an innovative organizing insert that I've seen pricier bags come with but I never thought to look for it separately, an insert that you can place into any bag as long as you get the right size and viola! You have yourself a diaper bag!
Purses can easily become black holes without an organizing insert. ToteSavvy is a great purse organizing solution!
As soon as I received the ToteSavvy Mini diaper bag insert I knew exactly which bag I wanted to put it into! I got a really cute backpack that I liked to carry when going out with my littles, but it was tough to dig through when I needed something. The more I dug the worse it got and by the end of an early afternoon playdate there was no way I could quickly stick my hand into my bag and reach what I needed. It was a frustrating mess, which usually ended in regret of my choice to go out with it, and I'd go back to the safety of just using my diaper bag.
But with the ToteSavvy Mini diaper bag insert I now have way more options of which bag I can use. The mini's size is 9.5"L x 8.5" H, but if you have a bigger bag and would like more pockets you can go for the original ToteSavvy insert which is 14"L x 10"H. The mini works for me because I have one baby who I really pack the bag for and a toddler who is out of diapers so not much to pack specifically for her. I usually keep her spare clothes in the car anyway.
The ToteSavvy Mini insert has 6 pockets; one insulated pocket which will be great for a bottle or sippy cup, but for now I just stick a package of wipes in there, and one long pocket next to it I use to carry diapers (I can fit about 4 diapers in there). The other four pockets fit everything else I need. The size seems small but once you start packing it, so much can actually fit and stay organized in your bag! The insert comes with a key clasp on the side as well as a changing mat. I also really like the flat pocket that this insert has as the divider, in which I keep my nursing cover, burp cloth, and my wallet. Easy to grab and use!
Being organized makes a big difference for me when going out with my littles, and an insert like this helps tremendously. I can also go back to using all my other favorite bags and not just be restricted to using my two diaper bags. It's pretty convenient to pack the insert and to be able to quickly change bags by just sticking the packed insert into just about any of my bags. I've even used this insert in my diaper bag for extra pockets and organization. Another great thing about having an insert that can be pulled out is that you can remove it and very easily access and see what you have in there (I see this nifty insert as my little toolbox). I've also found the removable insert very convenient when leaving my little one with a caregiver, all I left was the packed insert and was able to use my bag on my errands. Get ToteSavvy to organize your own purse or transform a regular bag into a diaper bag!
