If you've ever wished there was a way to conveniently and quickly make baby food for your child, I'm excited to share that Beaba has designed an all-in-one streamlined appliance just for you! The Beaba BabyCook Pro makes cooking up a few cups of baby food a breeze; I can even make baby's food while I'm making dinner for the rest of the family.
I've done the drill; cutting up raw foods, steaming them, filtering through mixed opinions on whether using the microwave is bad to accomplish the cooking process, and finally breaking out the food processor to blend up my homemade concoction. Unless I'm making a large quantity, my normal baby food making process takes way too much time to do daily. I feel pretty strongly about the benefits of making homemade baby food and the BabyCook easily empowers me to do this.
Alot of pureed foods don't even last as leftovers and are best enjoyed fresh; bananas, apples, avocado, and pears to name a few. The BabyCook Pro allows me to mix up fresh combinations within one canister. Just peel and cut up your food of choice into cubes, place it into the steamer basket, and the food is ready to blend as soon as the light turns off.
The steamer needs water for every use and the canister doubles as a measuring pitcher for adding the right amount of water. The steamer basket also fits into the canister. Once the light turns off in about 6-10 minutes, remove the steamer basket and pour the steamed food from the basket into the canister, which becomes the blender.
The canister bowl holds up to 4.7 cups of cubed food. I used sweet potatoes for the example, but I've also mixed up acorn and butternut squash. Next I'll be trying carrots and apples to make homemade applesauce. My little one is very enthusiastic about enjoying a variety of foods; sometimes 3 flavors per meal, so I'm happy the BabyCook offers an easy way to provide variety without a lot of hassle! Once the food is fully steamed and the cubes have been transferred out of the basket into the canister, engage the mixing blades by turning the knob on the front. This is a manual action; when you let go the blender stops. I found I only had to mix the food for a few seconds because it was so effectively steamed. I did add a bit of water to create a smoother consistency, and discovered added water also evens out some of the starches from foods like potatoes and squash, which tend to give my baby a gag reflex. Using the BabyCook, my homemade sweet potatoes were blended to a perfect constancy in no time at all!
The BabyCook Pro is a sleek, countertop appliance that steam cooks, blends and reheats all-in-one, in 15 minutes or less. You can also use the BabyCook to defrost frozen baby food. Steam cooking locks in vitamins and nutrients, a multi-purpose mixing blade provides just the right texture, the timer has an audible alert to tell you when meals are ready, and all of this with total one-handed operation. This appliance is loaded with features that make any parent a "pro" in baby food preparation. Learn More »
