Do you love HTGV’s show Fixer Upper? Chip & Joanna Gaines’ popular home remodeling show has inspired many DIY projects and home decorating styles. Even my own style is partially inspired by Fixer Upper. I was sad to hear the recent announcement that Fixer Upper Season 5 is scheduled to be the last. Joanna Gaines posted a sweet update on her facebook page.
“Thank you all for watching, caring and cheering us on these past few years. We are overwhelmed by your support and your kindness. You have become a part of our story forever. Season 5 of Fixer Upper is scheduled to start airing in November and we really have saved the best for last!”

“This has been an amazing adventure! We have poured our blood, sweat and tears into this show. We would be foolish to think we can go and go and fire on all cylinders and never stop to pause. Our family is healthy and our marriage has honestly never been stronger. This is just us recognizing that we need to catch our breath for a moment. Our plan is to take this time to shore up and strengthen the spots that are weak, rest the places that are tired and give lots of love and attention to both our family and our businesses.” – Joanna Gaines
It’s encouraging to know when it’s time to end a good thing. The Gaines family includes 4 sweet kids and they’ve also created numerous entrepreneurial brands, product lines, and businesses! I love their Magnolia Market home decor and Joanna’s design contributions to Matilda Jane Clothing’s darling little girl fashions!
What do you think the Gaines family will do next?
