Mommy life is very busy and it’s easy for us moms to forget to take care of ourselves. I definitely spend most of my day helping my kids, cleaning up after them and training them to behave. My husband asked me why I can’t go downstairs until I’m fully ready for the day and I told him that once I’m in the kitchen, it’s very hard to get back upstairs for several hours. My 3 kids need assistance with virtually every task they do and I’m usually happy to help and clean up as we go. But sometimes the chaos of mommy life means I don’t prioritize taking care of myself.

Summer is just around the bend and with warmer weather comes fun family adventures! Outings, excursions and vacations fill up our family’s calendar as we rush to make the best of the beautiful warm weather. I don’t know about you, but I always have a bit of dread at the beginning of each adventure as I ask myself “did I forget something?” and try to jog my memory of what I might need for my son during our day (or week) out. As moms, we have to be prepared for anything. If you have any day trips or vacations planned this summer, you may want to add a few more things to your list of kids’ travel essentials to prepare for anything.

I’ve also begun thinking of ways to keep my little ones safe from the sun as well as my own skin. It’s easy to take care of your skin with a simple healthy routine. I have my trusty skincare regimen for all seasons. In the summer I break out the natural sunscreen and chemical-free bug repellent and in the winter I use nourishing moisturizers to keep our whole family healthy and happy.
