Decorating for fall doesn't have to break the bank, and if you buy decorations off-season, you can create a little stash of decor to use every year. My pile of decorations took up the whole kitchen island, and I know I didn't spend much on them in past years; shopping clearance racks and using coupons. If you are buying for this year, keep an eye on holiday sales at craft stores and use coupons that apply to your entire purchase. I always check the mobile app for Jo-Ann's or Michael's for coupons I can use, BEFORE I check out.
This year with two toddlers around, I kept it simple. I put a garland of leaves along the top of our kitchen cabinets. Pretty and out of reach. I also added fall artificial flowers to vases that I already had.
I added a seasonal touch to my floral chandelier by wrapping the interior with another leafy garland. The only problem is; I'm going to get so used to the added leaves that it may look bare when I take them off!
A pretty vase with more fall-toned artificial flowers makes a great centerpiece for any table, buffet, or side bar. I also put some glittery fruit inside this metal candle holder, and accented the focal pieces with colorful mason jars (which I also got on sale).
A chalk board is the perfect universal surface to customize for the season. You could also update it weekly with inspiring quotes or encouraging verses.
How are you decorating for fall this year? None of my ideas took a lot of time, our house looks beautiful, and I can save it all to use again next year!
