Traveling this summer? Don’t forget to pack these essentials to use in the car and during your family adventures. Our family travels this spring took us down the Pacific Northwest cost to California where we visited my husband’s extended family. We also explored Zion National Park in Utah and made a loop though Colorado. We brought our 5th wheel trailer and stayed at several gorgeous RV parks along the way. During our trip my kids enjoyed swimming, horseback riding, hiking, picking oranges fresh from the tree and riding bikes at several local parks. Some essential gear made our trip much easier and helped solve some basic problems any family may encounter while traveling.

The best travel destinations are places for families to make memories, get some exercise and enjoy some good old family fun. Zion National Park is a great place to visit and go on a family hike. We enjoyed exploring the canyon paths, walking in the river and taking in the gorgeous views on all sides.
One of the trickiest things about traveling with young kids can be finding activities for them to enjoy. After a long day in the car my kids are ready to get out and run or do something fun! We recently visited the Seattle area in Washington state and we stayed near Tukwila’s Family Fun Center. This pacific northwest family travel destination has something for all ages. My younger kids enjoyed the kids rides and climbing on the massive play structure. Family Fun Center activities for older kids and teenagers include laser tag, bowling, the XD Theater Experience with different shows you can choose from, bumper cars, go karts and arcade games!
Our cold weather travels took us to the Seattle area for a few days. We stayed at the Comfort Suites hotel in Tukwila, WA which ended up being a great choice for our family because of the pool, hot breakfast and more!
How fun would it be to visit a local farm that makes amazing herbal skincare products and supports sustainability within the community? We had the chance to do just that and visit the Moon Valley Organics farm on our way through Deming, Washington. We lived in the Seattle area for 5 years so in a way, this Pacific Northwest trip felt like going home, even if it was just for a few days. I’m excited to share some highlights from our visit to the family-owned Moon Valley Organics farm!
Taking your kids on vacation can be one of the most positive things you can do to improve your bond as a family. A family vacation allows you to create lifelong memories and joy. Consider these pros and cons when planning your next family vacation.
When we travel, we have our 3 small children in tow. Here are some fun family-friendly activities we found in the gorgeous California town of Carmel-by-the-Sea.
Where do you enjoy going on vacation? Our summer family travels took us to the California coast where we enjoyed camping along the beach in our RV motor home. We found so many great spots to go on family hikes and enjoy the sunny warm weather. Of course, summer weather comes with bugs, and hiking with kids comes with scraped knees. I’m excited to share some natural solutions to both of these problems, as well as our fun DIY feather embellished hair accessories!
