Infanttech's Always in View video baby monitor comes disguised as a cute plush animal that can be used at home, in the car, and on the go. The monitor's camera is embedded in a uniquely designed stuffed animal and connects to a 4.3" screen. The monitor is 100% wireless and includes night vision. Two cameras can even be connected together for a split screen viewing option on the monitor!
I received the Infanttech giraffe monitor to review. This monitor is so versatile with its squeezable plush body and front feet that velcro together so you can wrap the monitor around crib slats, connect it to a chair, or wrap it around the back of the driver or passenger's seat for viewing your baby in the back seat of the car. The front feet also clip together so the monitor can be more permanently attached to a viewing surface. I sometimes attach the monitor to the side of the crib, out of baby's reach. The animal also sits up for placement on a dresser or shelf.
The Infanttech viewing screen offers a high quality view in good lighting and decent quality night vision, as well as sound. A bit of white noise from the camera itself can be heard on the monitor if the volume is turned all the way up. It's easy to position the plush animal camera to get the best view on the monitor. Neither the camera nor the monitor screen need cables thanks to wireless technology, so this system is very easy to set up, use, and move around the house.
I don't spend too much time in the car with my little ones, so my use of the Infanttech Always in View monitor is mostly home use, but this system would be awesome to use in the car. I'll definitely be using it on our next road trip. You can attach the camera to the back of a front seat and stick the monitor to the windshield or dashboard with a suction cup, eliminating the need to turn your head to view your baby. Any motion on the camera is also much easier to see on the screen out of the corner of your eye, allowing you to quickly respond to any serious situations in the car. The front feet of the plush camera animal securely wrap around the headrest of the seat in front, clipping together with a small buckle.
At home I just set the Infanttech camera on a shelf or nearby dresser. This allows me to move the camera throughout the house, so I can watch my daughter playing in another room while I'm in the kitchen. This will be a huge help especially as my kids get older and become more independent. It's nice knowing what's going on in the next room.
Monitoring play time from another room.
The camera and monitor screen turn on and off with a push of a button. Each also recharge with a plug-in cord or car charger adapter. I'd recommend remembering to turn off each unit when you are not using them to extend battery life. The battery lasts about 2 hours before requiring charging.
You can't get the plush wet! I'd recommend not letting your child carry the monitor around (even though it's a stuffed pal), since it's not easily cleaned. Our giraffe is the special buddy in the room that's not a play thing. If you are using the Infanttech Always in View Monitor a lot at home and have young kids, you can find some special unreachable spots to put it in each room so the camera isn't disturbed by curious little ones. In the car it's strapped to the seat and less accessible.
Charge it regularly. Get the most use out of your plush and monitor by plugging the units in at night. This will keep them ready for use the next day. For overnight use, you can use the camera and monitor while each unit is plugged in (keeping the cord out of the reach of kids).
Overall this is a very versatile system for keeping tabs on your kids! Use the Infanttech Plush Baby Monitor at home, in the car, and at night. Infanttech offers the peace of mind to be able to go out and pull weeds in the garden and encourage your kids to play on their own in the next room, all while keeping your little ones in view. This system comes in several adorable animal sets, perfect for a unique baby shower gift, or just a practical go-to monitoring system for young families. Check it out for yourself!
